Setting Up Alerts & Notifications

You may want to have a message sent to someone that is triggered by specific actions. This can be done via alerts and notifications. Alerts can be set for internal users such as your staff. Notifications are meant for your members.

Create a New Alert

  1. Click your name in the top right corner.

  2. Click View Alerts

  3. Click Enable Alerts in the top right corner.

  4. Select the alerts you would like to enable by clicking the checkbox next to the alert.

  5. Once you are satisfied, click Enable Alerts.

Delete an Alert

  1. Click your name in the top right corner.

  2. Click View Alerts.

  3. Find the Alert you would like to delete and click the Remove button to the right.

  4. When prompted, click Yes, Delete.

Create an Alert for Someone Else


Create a New Email Notification

  1. In the toolbar, click Connect.

  2. Find Notifications > Triggered Response and click Setup New Notification.

  3. Choose E-mail for the Delivery Medium.

  4. Under Newsletter Primary Purpose, choose Push Notification. This will automatically generate a notification via the delivery medium you chose when an action is completed.

  5. Make sure to set a Status. Your notification will only send if it's set to Approved. However, you will have the opportunity to change the status to Approved later if the email needs to be reviewed first.

  6. Create a Campaign Name and Newsletter Subject for your notification.

  7. Create a Preview Text for your notification.

  8. Under Delivery Options you can:

    • Edit the sending address for your notification

    • Edit the replying address for your notification

    • Change how you are sending the notification

  9. In Newsletter Details you can:

    • Assign the notification to an already created category

    • Assign an Importance to the notification. Your options are Low, Normal or High.

    • Choose to have members auto-logged into your website when they click on links in your newsletter

    • Choose to have a member's CC email included when you send this notification

    • Remove the opt-out and company information from the bottom of your e-mail footer. PLEASE NOTE: By checking this option, you agree to take full responsibility for any and all complaints, fines, fees and/or other legal obligations associated with delivering e-mails without the ability to opt-out. This is NOT RECOMMENDED but was added in an effort to appropriately communicate to your audience who has opted into your private member experience. It is not recommended that you use this frequently, abuse of this privilege may result in termination of your account.

  10. Once you are satisfied with the settings, click Continue to build your newsletter.

  11. You will now be directed to the newsletter builder to build the email that will be delivered as the notification.

  12. Once you are satisfied with the email notification, click save in the top right corner. You will then be prompted to save your work again.

Create a New Text or Mobile Push Notification

  1. In the toolbar, click Connect.

  2. Find Notifications > Triggered Response and click Setup New Notification.

  3. Choose the Delivery Medium.

  4. Under Newsletter Primary Purpose, choose Push Notification. This will automatically generate a notification via the delivery medium you chose when an action is completed.

  5. Make sure to set a Status. Your notification will only send if it's set to Approved. However, you will have the opportunity to change the status to Approved later if the email needs to be reviewed first.

  6. Choose a campaign name.

  7. Write a newsletter message.

  8. Under Newsletter Details, you can:

    • Assign the notification to an already created category

  9. Once you are satisfied, with the settings, click Continue. Your text or mobile push notification has now been created.

Manage Email Based Notifications

  1. In the toolbar, click Connect.

  2. Find Notifications > Triggered Response and click E-mail Based.

  3. Locate the email notification you would like to edit.

  4. If you would like to edit the settings on the newsletter, click the Edit button.

    If you would like to edit the email that is sent out, click the Build button.

  5. Make your desired changes.

  6. Once you are satisfied, click Update or Save.

Manage SMS Based Notifications (Twilio is required)

  1. In the toolbar, click Connect.

  2. Find Notifications > Triggered Response and click SMS Based. Please note that you must have an account and integration with Twilio to use this feature.

  3. Locate the SMS notification you would like to edit.

  4. Click Edit.

  5. Make your desired changes.

  6. Once you are satisfied, click Update or Save.
