How to Create a Product
Click Sell in the toolbar.
Navigate to Products and click Setup New Product.
Select the Product Type for the product you are creating. This will determine how the product is purchased and/or displayed to the customer. Keep in mind that if you select "Service", shipping will not be calculated. If you select "Food & Beverage" the product you build will show up in the Food & Beverage experience.
Enter a title for your product under "Product Title." This is displayed in the product results.
Enter a description for your product under "Descriptive Title." This will be displayed on the product page and is searchable.
Under the product details, you are also able to:
Select a brand for your product. For example, if you are selling a Nalgene water bottle, you can select Nalgene under "Brand". If you do not see the brand, you are able to create it.
Choose a product status. If you choose POS/Backend only this product will only be able to be purchased with the help of a staff member using the Virtual POS. if you choose Not Available for Purchase, it will not be available for purchase at all.
Select one or multiple categories that this product should be filed under. If you do not see the category you wish to assign to this product, you can create a category.
Add either a brief or long-form description.
Add a product link for a product that is available for "Purchase on External Site." Once the product link is added, the link will be used as a redirect once someone presses the "Buy Now" button.
Include a SKU or external ID
Under Product Pricing, you can:
Set various price types, your options are:
Retail Price
Dealer Price
MSRP Price
Add-to-Cart Price
Identify discounted pricing based on the number of this product that is purchased.
Set the number of loyalty points someone can use to purchase this item.
Identify the tax rate for this item.
Identify the unit type for the product which will be displayed next to the pricing. For example, $15.00/item or $15.00/hat.
Set a minimum or maximum quantity some can purchase.
Under Inventory, you can:
Set the current number of units in stock under "Total in Stock."
Identify the Stock Location.
If something is not in stock yet, you are able to set the number of units that are on order and when they are expected to arrive.
Under Shipping & Delivery, you are able to:
Set the product weight, which will be used to calculate the shipping estimate.
Set the width, height, and depth of the product.
Set a shipping and/or handling fee.
In the Permissions & Owner section, you can:
Identify who is able to see this product under "Visibility". You are also able to drill down by membership.
Select a product owner who will be able to view sales reports and manage the product.
In the Images section, you are able to upload images of the product.
If you would like to add SEO to help people find this product, you can do so under the SEO & Marketing section.
Once you are satisfied with the information you have added, click Create.
How to Add a Variation to a Product
You are able to add variations to a product. A variation might be a color or style for example. The easiest way to add a variation is to create all the variations as products first and then link them. To learn how to make a product, check out How to Create a Product above.
Click Sell in the toolbar.
Navigate to Products and click Manage Products.
Find the product you would like to add a variation to and click the menu button to the far right.
Scroll down to Product Variations and click Add a Variation.
Click Link Existing Products.
Search for items that you would like to link to this product.
Check the box next to the items you would like to add as variations for this product.
Click Link Products
How to Copy a Product or Item
Click Sell in the toolbar.
Navigate to Products and click Manage Products.
Find the product you would like to copy and click the menu button to the far right.
Under the details section, click Copy.
Choose the product title for the new product you are creating.
If you would like, enter a SKU for the new product you are creating.
Select what you would like to copy from the original product by checking the boxes next to each category.
Once you are satisfied, click Copy to New Product.
How to Edit a Product
Click Sell in the toolbar.
Navigate to Products and click Manage Products.
Find the product you would like to edit and click the edit button to the far right.
Make your desired changes.
Once you are satisfied, click Update Product.
How to Create a Product Bundle
Click Sell in the toolbar.
Navigate to Products and click Setup New Product.
Under Product Type, select "Bundle Product."
Follow Steps 4 - 12 on How to Create a Product.
On the next screen, you will build out the bundle. Each part of your bundle will have its own section. To start this process, choose a Section Title. For example, if they need to choose a hat, you could call it "Hat".
In the field called "Add Content to Explain Section", include text that tells the buyer what they need to do in this section. Do they choose one or more items?
Under "Bundle Type", choose Category and then click the Search arrow.
Select the category your buyer needs to choose from in this section.
In the field labeled "Maximum Bundle Quantity", enter the maximum number of items that can be chosen from this section.
In the field labeled "Includes Quantity", enter the minimum number of items that can be chosen from this section.
If you want to require the buyer to choose from this section, toggle the button on.
Once you are satisfied, click Add to Bundle.
Repeat Steps 5 - 12 until you have added everything you want to the bundle.
How to Add a Related Item as an Upsell
You are able to add related items to products. A related item will show up as a suggested item next to the product. The easiest way to create a related product is to create all the products first and then link them. To learn how to make a product, check out How to Create a Product above.
Click Sell in the toolbar.
Navigate to Products and click Manage Products.
Find the product you would like to add an upsell and click the menu button to the far right.
Scroll down to the section called Related Products and click Add Relationship.
Search for the item you would like to add as an upsell and click the checkbox next to it. You are able to choose multiple products by clicking the box next to each product.
To assign and add more related products, click Assign. To assign and finish adding related products, click Assign & Finish.
How to Adjust Inventory for a Product
Click Sell in the toolbar.
Navigate to Products and click Manage Products.
Find the product you would like to update inventory on and click the menu button to the right.
Click Add Inventory.
Add the total number of available inventory for this product.
Choose if this inventory is in hand (you currently have it) or on order.
You have the option to also add the inventory location.
Click Add Inventory.
How to Be Alerted of Low Inventory
Complete Steps 1 - 7 in How to Adjust Inventory for a Product.
If you would like to be alerted of low inventory check the box next to "Notify the warehouse when inventory drops below a certain level." This will only work if you have an Inventory Location set.
