Peoplevine allows you to host your domain name and sub-domain names within our environment so that your members and guests only see your company's name in the URL and no reference to Peoplevine.
Create custom or short URLs to make it easy for your audience to find a specific landing page or to track where people are landing on pages from.

Setting up a Custom Vanity URL
Setting up a Custom Vanity URL
If you want to make a URL read something along the lines of www.yourdomain.com/application you will need to set up a custom vanity URL. Vanity URLs are great to add to marketing materials and will be easy for your members to remember. Vanity URLs are also indexable by search engines so will show up in results if keywords match what a user is searching.
You can create any vanity URL except for those that come out-of-the-box. You can find a list of out-of-the-box URLs here.
2. Navigate to URLs & Domains, then Vanity URL, and click on Setup Vanity URL.
3. Select the main domain. This will be the first part of the URL such as www.yourwebsite.com. In most cases, you will want to choose "All Domain Names."
4. Enter the "slug" in the field labeled "Enter Vanity URL". This is the last part of the URL such as /membership or /comingsoon. This is a great opportunity to optimize your SEO. This must start with a forward slash "/".
5. If you want people to be able to visit the vanity URL, be sure that you toggle on "This vanity URL is currently active."
6. Select the type of page you would like the vanity URL to point to. Once you choose the type of page, the existing pages of this type will populate below. You will need to select the exact page it will point to. In the example below, the vanity URL will point to the membership portal login.
7. Once you are satisfied with your setup, click Create.

Create a Short URL and Track Visits
Create a Short URL and Track Visits
One of the easiest ways to track the total hits from a lead source is by setting up a short URL in Peoplevine. Once this URL is set up, you can then start to track each time it's visited. Short URLs are great to use in marketing materials where a vanity URL may be too long. A Short URL may look similar to "http://gopv.us/Sjr3". To set up a Short URL follow these steps:
Click on your name in the top left corner.
Navigate to URLs & Domains, then Short URL, and click on Setup Short URL.
3. Click the radio button next to "Setup a Short URL."
4. In the field called URL Destination add in the URL where you would like the Short URL to be directed.
5. In the field called URL Name, label this Short URL. This will be for internal use only and will be how the Short URL is identified in PeopleVine.
6. When you are satisfied, click Continue.
7. On the next page, you will see the Short URL and an accompanying QR Code.
Now that your short URL is setup, we will track every time someone visits it. They can go directly to the short URL (which keep in mind is case sensitive) or use the QR Code.
